Maggie Magoo
*** This bird is currently on our Waitlist and is with their current owner. It may be possible to visit and adopt this bird prior to it being moved to a foster home. Please keep in mind that birds on the Waitlist may not have had a veterinary visit. Their owners may or may not be caring for the bird at EBR minimum standards of care.***
Maggie magoo (nicknames: chicken, maggie moo, miss magoo) -25 yo (or older possibly indicated by vet visits) ,female. - vocal and friendly. loves to be SOCIAL and would probably do great in a high energy home. maggie LOVES music especially the fun songs like cotton eye joe and baby shark. please make sure you sing along with her and clap and everyone will have a blast. Maggie does NOT enjoy being left alone however and will vocalize her dislike. Maggie is VERY picky and rarely eats anything BUT the pellets we give her .

Age or hatch date:
25 yr
Gender:
female
Best qualities:
she is VERY talkative. she will always compliment you with tons of "pretty bird" she is friendly and handle able. loves scratches on head and will cuddle with you.
Favorite food:
Seeds
Favorite toys:
anything destroyable
Dowel or step-up trained:
Yes, to hand or arm
Challenges:
i believe she has serious separation anxiety and when you leave the room she screams. she also seems somewhat aggressive to fabrics. possibly a nesting issue. we typically dont allow her in blankets OR on the floor. she has chased feet and that was a concern for me.
Vocabulary:
she often says pretty bird alot. but thats all we have heard her say. as for tricks, when we hype her up and play music we do what we call "big wings" and put our arms up and out and flap them and she will usually copy. she also likes being gently shaken and will often 'rattle' her wings rapidly and chitter her beak in response to the fun.
