Mattie

Meet

Mattie

Goodmorning meet Mattie,
Mattie is a 20 year old Male Goffin’s Cockatoo. Mattie is a recent intake and is in a foster home but was recently diagnosed with bornavirus which is contagious to other birds (not people or other animals). Mattie needs either a home with no other birds or a home with other birds that are already diagnosed with bornavirus. Current foster is sad to see him go as they report he is wonderful - happy, fun, and so sweet. Mattie is on daily medication to make him comfortable and foster home reports he takes it easily with a little canned pumpkin

Update 4-27-25 : Mattie likes people, and loves to be around adults. Her favorite toys are thin wood flats and cotton preening toys. She loves to shred towels! She loves it when people sing and dance and she'll dance along if you sing to her. She takes her medicine with canned organic pumpkin and seems to like to eat it in the afternoon.

Update 3-29-26 Mattie is a very sweet and curious bird who adjusts well. She loves hanging around her cage and eating cashews.
